01–04Ice production & delivery

Ice production, refrigeration, storage and delivery are planned around the required cooling duty and batching schedule.

01Ice production & storage
Generate ice and hold a buffer for peak batching periods.
02Cooling towers
Reject heat from the refrigeration system where water cooling is selected.
03Ice conveying
Transfer ice from the store towards the batching equipment.
04Day tank & ice dosing
Buffer ice near the mixer and coordinate dosing with the agreed batching arrangement.
05–07 / 09Batching plant interfaces

Connect the cooling package to the mixer, material handling and batching controls. Supply responsibilities are defined for each project.

05Concrete mixer
Receives the agreed ice and water quantities within the mixing process.
06Cement silos
Part of the batching plant material supply.
07Aggregate bins & conveyor
Part of the batching plant aggregate handling.
09Batching controls
Coordinate the agreed equipment signals and production sequence.
08Optional aggregate precooling

Consider aggregate precooling where the material temperatures and concrete temperature target require it.

08Aggregate precooling
Water circulation and cooling equipment are selected for the project duty and site arrangement.

Inside a working installation

One system.
Coordinated operation.

For larger ice plants, ice generators, compressor capacity, refrigeration pipework and PLC control are planned together. Freezing and harvesting sequences are coordinated with storage and delivery to the batching plant.

Integrated refrigeration

Coordinate ice generators, refrigeration equipment and pipework around the production duty.

Sequenced operation

Plan freezing and harvesting across the system through PLC control.

Demand-led storage

Match production, buffer storage and delivery to daily demand and peak batching periods.

Make it. Store it. Deliver it.

  1. Produce

Make ice within a coordinated refrigeration system.

  2. Store

Buffer the difference between ice production and batching demand.

  3. Convey

Arrange controlled discharge and screw conveyors around the plant layout.

  4. Supply the mixer

Deliver to a day tank near the mixer. Coordinate ice dosing with the mix-water allowance and mixing cycle.

Chilled water alongside the ice supply

Plan the water
and ice together.

Chilled-water equipment can be planned alongside the ice system. Define water temperature, flow, buffer storage and supply around the concrete mix and operating schedule.
